Sen. Jim Hargrove, D-Hoquiam: (TRT: 26) CLICK TO DOWNLOAD: “This is for 50 years of serving our community, but you know, John started as a paper boy and worked up to publisher and then of course has gone on to, not only be an author, but work for the Secretary of State. It reminds me a little bit of Sid Snyder who started as an elevator operator then worked up to be Senator. You know, John could have left the Harbor and been I’m sure way more famous, but he chose to stay on the Harbor and stay with the Daily World to the benefit of us all.”

The resolution was unanimously adopted.
