Sen. Lisa Wellman spoke out against the Senate Republican education funding proposal Thursday during the floor debate on the bill. Wellman, a former teacher, highlighted how teachers, administrators and school advocates across the state do not support Senate Bill 5607. The bill passed on a party-line 25-24 vote.
