Sen. Jamie Pedersen

Jamie Pedersen grew up in Puyallup, graduated from Puyallup High School and worked at McDonald’s to help put himself through Yale College, where he studied Russian and history, and graduated summa cum laude. After spending a year living in Russia and collecting oral histories of Soviet Afghan war veterans, Jamie attended Yale Law School. He clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and then returned to Seattle – and Capitol Hill – in 1995.

Rep. Frank Chopp

Frank was born and raised in Bremerton. He graduated with honors from the University of Washington in 1975, and started his career as a community organizer with a passion for social justice. Frank was elected to the House of Representatives in 1994 and became co-Speaker of the House in 1999. He began serving as the only Speaker in 2002. As Speaker, Frank committed himself to policies that reflect his community-organizer values – a strong public education system, health care for every child, good-paying jobs, and protecting the social safety net.

Rep. Nicole Macri

Rep. Nicole Macri was elected to the Washington House of Representatives in 2016. She has more than 20 years of experience championing progressive causes on issues around affordable housing, homelessness, human services, and mental health. Nicole has been at the forefront of the Housing First movement nationally, and is a recognized leader in practical and effective strategies that end the homelessness of people living with serious disabilities.
