Guy Palumbo is a proud husband and father of three young children. He lives in Maltby in South Snohomish County and owns and operates Roscoe’s Ranch, an award-winning dog boarding business. Prior to becoming a small business owner, Guy was a senior manager at He was elected to the state Senate by his constituents of the 1st Legislative District in November 2016.

Guy serves as the vice chair on the Senate Higher Education & Workforce Development Committee, the Senate Local Government Committee, and the Senate Energy, Environment & Technology Committee.  He also serves on the powerful Ways & Means committee.

Outside of his work in the Senate, Guy is a tireless community activist and public servant. He is an elected fire commissioner for Snohomish County Fire District 7. Additionally, Guy was an appointed member of the Snohomish County Planning Commission where he served as the chair for the last two years and presided over the 2015 Snohomish County Comprehensive Plan update. Guy also served on the board of directors of an animal welfare organization and One Bothell, a grass roots organization dedicated to land preservation and protecting the environment.

Guy’s focus is to ensure the 1st District has the infrastructure and transportation options needed to handle the rapid population growth occurring in the Puget Sound. He also is dedicated to supporting small businesses that drive our economy and protecting services that serve our most vulnerable so they don’t fall through the cracks.
